Chinedum Orji Media Organisation Denies Viral EFCC Raid Claim on Theodore Orji’s Residence

The Chinedum Orji Media Organisation has dismissed as false and misleading a viral social media report alleging that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided the Umuahia residence of former Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji, CFR, and recovered billions of dollars, election materials, gold necklaces and exotic vehicles.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the organisation, in a press statement signed by its Media Director, Paul Njoku, described the report as entirely fabricated and intended to mislead members of the public.

According to the statement, there was no EFCC raid on the former governor’s residence, and the claims circulating on social media lack a factual basis. The organisation urged the public to disregard the report and refrain from spreading unverified information capable of causing unnecessary panic or damaging reputations.

The media organisation further called on journalists and social media users to verify sensitive information through credible sources before publication, stressing the importance of responsible journalism and factual reporting.

CDA News Nigeria reports that, at the time of filing this report, the EFCC had not issued any official statement confirming the alleged raid or the recovery of the items mentioned in the viral social media post.
