President Bola Tinubu has been honoured with the “Distinguished EuroKnowledge Leadership” award at a prestigious ceremony held at the House of Lords in London.
The award was received on behalf of the President by Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Mohammed Idris, on Saturday.
Organizers stated the award recognizes President Tinubu’s “transformational leadership, bold reforms, and commitment to repositioning Nigeria as a global investment destination.”
In his remarks, the Minister highlighted the administration’s progress, stating, “President Tinubu’s vision of building a $1 trillion economy is on course.” He pointed to significant infrastructure investments, including the approval of over N2.5 trillion in road projects this year.
The event also honoured other prominent figures. Nigerian businessman Chief Kessington Adebutu received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to business and philanthropy.
Additionally, Konga CEO Prince Nnamdi Ekeh was awarded for his role in digital transformation, while former UK Cabinet member Baroness Sandip Verma and ex-footballer Louis Saha were also among the recipients.
The ceremony reinforced Nigeria’s growing international profile under the current administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
