Popular Channels Television anchor, Seun Okinbaloye, has clarified his viral statement that the 2027 general election has already been rigged.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that, speaking during the Sunday Politics programme, Okinbaloye stated that his warning named no political party, accused no candidate, and identified no sponsor.
He explained that he was only warning Nigerians that fake voter cards and a compromised voter register are already threatening the integrity of the 2027 election.
“In my warning, I didn’t name any political party, accuse any candidate, or identify any sponsor. I only said the 2027 election is already being rigged through a fake voter register,” Okinbaloye said.
The anchor called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to urgently clean up the voter register and remove fake and AI-generated voter cards before the elections.
CDA News Nigeria reports that his initial warning on Friday during Politics Today generated massive reactions, with some people alleging he was accusing the APC, while others thought he was criticizing INEC.
