Renowned Nigerian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and business leader, Dr. Chibudom Jephthah Chigozirim — Chief Executive Officer of Jeff Exchange and Chairman of the JX Group — has joined the global community in celebrating the International Day of Children, using the occasion to issue a passionate and urgent call for stronger legislation to protect the rights, safety, and future of every Nigerian child.

Dr. Chigozirim called on the Federal and State Governments, the National Assembly, and relevant regulatory authorities to urgently review and strengthen existing child protection frameworks — arguing that Nigeria’s current legal architecture is inadequate, poorly enforced, and insufficient to shield children from the growing array of threats they face in today’s society.
He specifically advocated for stricter penalties for child abusers and traffickers, expanded access to free and qualitative education for all Nigerian children, increased government investment in child healthcare and nutrition, and the establishment of more robust social safety nets for vulnerable children living in poverty across the country.
The philanthropist also called on corporate organisations, business leaders, and high-net-worth individuals to follow his example and make deliberate, sustained investments in the welfare of Nigerian children — through scholarships, skills empowerment, healthcare support, and community development initiatives.
Dr. Chigozirim reaffirmed his personal and institutional commitment to using the Jeff Exchange and JX Group platforms as vehicles for positive social impact — particularly in areas that directly improve the lives of young Nigerians and give them a genuine fighting chance at a bright and prosperous future.
“Every child deserves to grow up in safety, with access to education, healthcare, and love.
