Mascot Uzor-Kalu Appeals to Tinubu for Political Solution in Nnamdi Kanu Case

UMUAHIA – Chief Mascot Uzor-Kalu, a 2027 Abia State governorship aspirant, has publicly appealed to President Bola Tinubu to pursue a fair political resolution following the conviction of Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement issued on Friday, Uzor-Kalu expressed confidence in the President’s capacity to deliver a peaceful outcome through executive intervention. He emphasized that while the judicial process is binding, it should not preclude actions that promote national unity.

“I firmly believe there is still room for a measured executive action that could restore hope and calm tensions across the region,” Uzor-Kalu stated, describing President Tinubu as a leader with a listening ear.

The aspirant urged stakeholders in the Southeast and nationwide to remain calm and patient, highlighting that “now that the judicial process is concluded,” the focus should shift to political and diplomatic resolution. He called for a stop to “unnecessary utterances” and a renewed focus on dialogue to conclude the matter.
