Miss Bayelsa Tamunosoye Karibi-George Wins Miss World Nigeria 2026

Tamunosoye Karibi-George, representing Bayelsa State, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 after emerging victorious at the pageant’s grand finale held at Balmoral Hall, Lagos, on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The 26-year-old beauty queen, who hails from Port Harcourt, outshined 19 other contestants to claim the coveted title at the competition themed “Pride, Power and Purpose.”

With the victory, Karibi-George succeeds Joy Mojisola Raimi as Nigeria’s representative at the 73rd Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from August 9 to September 5, 2026.

Beyond the glamour of the pageant, the new Miss World Nigeria is the founder of Beyond Labels, an initiative dedicated to supporting children with special needs while promoting inclusion, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all.

The competition also celebrated other outstanding contestants. Dionne Chisom Nwagbo of Anambra State emerged as the first runner-up, while Shuntell Ezomo of Edo State secured the position of second runner-up. Irene Irene of Abuja and Gold of Rivers State completed the top five finalists.

Karibi-George’s emergence has been widely applauded, with many Nigerians expressing optimism that she will make the country proud on the global stage through her advocacy, intelligence, and commitment to humanitarian causes.
