MOUAU Issues Stern Warning: “Employment is Not For Sale”

UMUDIKE – The management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), has issued a strong public alert against employment racketeers seeking to defraud job seekers.

This warning follows the university’s recent staff recruitment advertisement, which has sparked inquiries from the public about the “cost” of securing a job.

In an official statement, the Chief Public Relations Officer, Dr. Ubadire Agua, clarified that employment in MOUAU is not for sale. He emphasized that the application process is entirely online and there are no reserved “slots” for any individuals.

The statement categorically denied any involvement of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, in demanding gratification. The public is urged to resist and expose anyone claiming to be an agent of the VC or university management.

The university warned that any job seeker offering a bribe or any staff member involved in tarnishing the institution’s reputation will face arrest and severe disciplinary action.
