Prelate Napo Emuchay officiates historic event at National Headquarters Annex in Rumuomoi, Rivers State.
The New Mount Zion Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide has successfully held its first International Women’s Anniversary at the National Headquarters Annex, Rumuomoi House of Prayer, Cherubim Road, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The landmark event was officiated by the Prelate of the church worldwide, His Eminence Senior Apostle General Napo Emuchay .
The historic anniversary marks a significant milestone for the church, representing its commitment to recognizing the spiritual and social contributions of women. The event, themed “New Mount Zion Women: Moving Forward Together In Unity” and drawn from Ecclesiastes 4:9, featured a weekend of activities designed to celebrate womanhood, community service and worship .
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the programme opened on Friday with a visitation to the less privileged. Saturday’s activities began with a health walk at 5:30am, followed by a march past, medical care outreach, health talk, business seminar, Bible drills, and dance and drama presentations by the women .
The anniversary climaxed on Sunday with a Thanksgiving Service featuring song renditions, gift tying, a children’s presentation, and a gift-giving session for mothers .
The event was organized under the leadership of Prophetess Favour Echem (ESA) as Committee Chairperson, Prophetess Ichechi Achor Amadi (ESA) as Committee Secretary, and Prophetess Happiness Nwene Amadi (ESA) as Preacher, with oversight from Senior Apostle General Emuchay .
Senior Apostle General Emuchay, who also serves as President of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) Nigeria, has been a prominent voice in the Cherubim and Seraphim movement, advocating for reforms including the proscription of polygamy among church leaders .
The event drew participants from across the church, highlighting the growing influence of the New Mount Zion C&S and its commitment to inclusive worship and community service .
