Ogun Govt Pledges Full Funding for Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign

The Ogun State government has assured residents of adequate funding and logistics for the upcoming measles-rubella vaccination campaign scheduled from January 27 to February 5, 2026.

Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who chairs the State Task Force on Primary Health Care, made the pledge during a meeting in Abeokuta, expressing confidence that Governor Dapo Abiodun would approve the requested funds promptly.

The campaign will target children aged 9 months to 14 years across the state—one of the widest age-range vaccination exercises ever undertaken in Ogun.

UNICEF and other development partners have pledged continued support for the immunization drive.
