A family of six—including parents and children—were found dead in their home in Ogale, Rivers State, in a mysterious incident that has sparked controversy.
Police preliminary findings suggested carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator kept on the premises, but family members strongly dispute this, noting the generator had been used safely for days and was located far from the bedrooms.
Relatives discovered the bodies arranged in unusual positions, with some showing signs of bleeding from the nose and ears. They are calling for a full autopsy and a deeper investigation, citing a recently resolved land dispute as potential context.
The Eleme Local Government Chairman has pledged support for a comprehensive probe to determine the true cause of death.
