Pentagon Chief Denies US Facing Munitions Stockpile Shortage

The United States Secretary of Defense has dismissed reports claiming that the country is facing a shortage of munitions, assuring Americans and international allies that the nation’s military preparedness remains strong.

Speaking amid growing concerns over America’s military commitments and the pace of weapons support to allies, the Pentagon chief maintained that the United States possesses sufficient capabilities to meet its defence obligations and respond to emerging security challenges.

He emphasized that the Department of Defense continuously monitors its inventory levels and takes proactive measures to replenish stockpiles whenever necessary to sustain operational readiness.

The clarification comes as debates intensify over the impact of ongoing global conflicts on military resources and defence spending, with critics warning that prolonged support for allies could strain existing supplies.

However, Pentagon officials insist that the U.S. military remains fully capable of defending national interests while fulfilling its international commitments.

The reassurance is expected to calm concerns about America’s defence posture and its ability to respond effectively to crises in an increasingly volatile global security environment.
