Troops Repel Lakurawa Terrorists, Recover RPGs, Explosives in Kebbi

Nigerian troops have successfully repelled an attack by suspected Lakurawa terrorists in Kebbi State, recovering rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), explosives, and other dangerous weapons during the operation.

According to security sources, the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce confrontation, forcing them to retreat and abandon a cache of arms and explosive devices. The recovered items are believed to have been intended for future attacks within the region.

The operation is part of ongoing military efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace in communities affected by violent extremism in the North-West.

Military authorities commended the bravery and professionalism displayed by the troops, reiterating their commitment to protecting lives and property across the country.

Residents have also been urged to support security agencies by providing credible intelligence that could aid ongoing operations against criminal elements.

The latest success highlights the intensified campaign by the Armed Forces to deny terrorists freedom of movement and prevent further threats to national security.
