We Will Not Tolerate Internal Sabotage, Abia APC Warns Uche Ogah

The Abia State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a strong warning to a former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, over what it described as persistent anti-party activities and open endorsement of Labour Party Governor Alex Otti.

In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the APC declared that Ogah remains a suspended member, and his suspension for anti-party conduct is still in force. The party insisted that he lacks the moral standing and credibility to speak on its behalf.

“We find Ogah’s continuous romance with a rival political party not only disgraceful but a blatant betrayal of the platform that once gave him relevance,” the statement read.

The party accused Ogah of actively sabotaging the APC in 2023 by working against its interest and supporting Otti’s candidacy. It also alleged that he undermined his own 2019 governorship ambition and that APC members were harassed and detained by security agents in connivance with him during elections.

The APC warned that it will not tolerate internal sabotage and announced plans to constitute a disciplinary committee to take a final decision on Ogah, including possible expulsion.

“His loyalty lies with the Labour Party, and we advise that he should formally join them and stop masquerading under the APC banner,” the party added.

Dr. Ogah has yet to respond to the latest warning as of press time.
