Youth Signal: Benue PDP Gov Candidate Aondoakaa Picks 38-Year-Old Dr. Oyije Ochaekiti-Ogbenjuwa as Running Mate

Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoakaa SAN, the PDP governorship candidate for Benue State, has unveiled 38-year-old Dr. Oyije Ochaekiti-Ogbenjuwa as his running mate, sending a powerful message of youth inclusion to the people of Benue ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Aondoakaa unveiled his running mate at the party’s state congress held in Makurdi, stating that the nomination of the young man was intended to demonstrate that the PDP is youth-friendly.

The governorship candidate added that his immediate priority, if elected in 2027, would be to halt the attacks and bloodshed devastating Benue communities, pledging a campaign built not on bitterness or division but on issues, ideas, solutions, unity, and service.

“To the youth of Benue, I hear your voices and understand your aspirations. You are not the leaders of tomorrow alone; you are critical partners today,” Aondoakaa declared, calling on all party members to close ranks and work as one united family. Telegraph
The Aondoakaa-Ochaekiti-Ogbenjuwa ticket is now positioned to challenge incumbent Governor Hyacinth Alia of the APC in what promises to be a fiercely contested 2027 Benue governorship race.
