A devastating road crash along the Jama’are–Azare Road in Bauchi State has left nine passengers dead and ten others injured.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that the accident involved a commercial vehicle with registration number KTG 181 ZZ, which was traveling from Gombe State to Kano State with 19 persons on board.
According to FRSC Public Education Officer Musa Kayo, preliminary findings point to over-speeding, driver fatigue, and loss of control as possible causes of the crash.
Emergency responders transported the injured to the Federal Medical Centre in Azare, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the same facility.
The FRSC has again urged motorists to observe traffic regulations, avoid excessive speed, and ensure proper rest before long journeys to prevent such tragedies.
