The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has graduated 89 first-class students from its Faculty of Engineering during the 2025 convocation ceremonies.
A total of 2,097 students from the faculties of Engineering, Law, and Management Sciences were admitted to their degrees on Wednesday. Out of 613 engineering graduates, 89 achieved first-class honors.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Folasade Ogunsola announced the figures, noting that 16,506 students will receive degrees during the university’s 56th convocation. The Faculty of Management Sciences produced 180 first-class graduates, while Law had three.
The university will also confer honorary degrees on Jubril Tinubu and former Attorney-General Kanu Agabi.
Ogunsola reaffirmed UNILAG’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
