UMUARIAGA COMMUNITY UNION RELEASES SCREENING RESULTS, TWO VIE FOR PRESIDENT GENERAL

IKWUANO, ABIA STATE – The Electoral Committee of the Umuariaga Community Development Union (UCDU) has released the official results of its screening exercise, with two candidates set to contest for the position of President General.

According to the committee’s report, a benchmark score of 50 was set as the qualification threshold. Out of 22 aspirants screened across various positions, 11 qualified while 11 were disqualified.

The race for President General will be contested by Kalu Kalu Macsweeny, who scored 54, and Chimobi Ikeokwo, who emerged with the highest score of 68. Other aspirants for the position, including Okechukwu Erico Oji (48), Okechukwu Nnochiri (45), Ikechukwu Okereke (43), and George Enehila (47), were disqualified.

Nine candidates have been declared elected unopposed after meeting the qualification criteria without facing opposition. They include:

· Sunday Chimezie – Vice President General (65)
· Ogbulubi Chinyere – Secretary General (50)
· Lady Precious V. Ukaenye – Treasurer (68)
· Enoch Emeka Nkem – Financial Secretary (57)
· Onyejiuwa Godswill – Provost (65)
· Bernard Uche Ekpo – Men’s Wing Chairman (57)
· Udochukwu Ogbulubi – Men’s Wing Vice Chairman (57)
· Anthony Felix Kalu – Men’s Wing Secretary (52)
· Obioma Eluwa – Men’s Wing Financial Secretary (54)

The committee affirmed that the screening process was transparent, fair, and credible. An election for the office of President General will be held as scheduled.
