Onuigbo Says Party Affiliation Won’t Decide Abia Central Senatorial Election

Senatorial aspirant Onuigbo has stated that party affiliation will not be the decisive factor in the upcoming Abia Central senatorial election, urging voters to consider candidates’ competence, track records, and vision for the constituency.

Speaking at a recent town hall with constituents, Onuigbo emphasized that the election should focus on who can deliver meaningful development and effectively represent the people at the national level.

He called on voters to look beyond party labels and assess candidates on their ability to address pressing issues such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.

Onuigbo also highlighted the importance of inclusive governance and public service, noting that the constituency deserves a representative who prioritizes the welfare of all residents, regardless of political affiliation.

He stressed that a commitment to accountability and integrity should guide voters’ choices.

Political analysts have noted that his remarks reflect growing sentiments among voters in the South East, where candidate performance and credibility are increasingly influencing electoral decisions.

Onuigbo’s statement underscores a broader trend of constituents seeking leaders who can deliver tangible results rather than relying solely on party loyalty.

As campaigns intensify in Abia Central, all stakeholders are being urged to focus on substantive issues and the long-term development of the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
