A House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (popularly known as Don Lulu), has paid a consultative visit to the APC State Working Committee to formally notify the leadership of his intention to contest the 2027 House of Representatives election for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
In his remarks, the leader of the team and former Umuahia North LGA Chairman, Chief Ekwuribe, commended Igbokwe’s contributions in human capacity development, job creation, youth empowerment, and community development. He called on the party leadership to consider Mayor Igbokwe for the federal constituency ticket.
While seeking the party’s support, Mayor Igbokwe pledged unwavering loyalty to the APC and expressed confidence in securing victory if given the ticket. He stated that with his experience, widespread acceptance, and influence in business and politics, he would not only win the seat but also mobilize resources to ensure APC’s victory across Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South.
The Abia APC Chairman, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, reiterated that the party is committed to a level playing field, guaranteeing a free, fair, and transparent process for all aspirants.
