AAC Shares N2.257tn April Revenue to FG, States, LGs

The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared N2.257 trillion in April 2026 revenue among the federal, state, and local governments.

This was contained in a communiqué released after FAAC’s June meeting, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Wale Edun.

The FAAC shares N2.257tn April revenue from statutory sources, Value Added Tax (VAT), exchange differences, and electronic money transfer levies.

From the total, the federal government received N845.6 billion, states got N754.3 billion, while local governments received N548.9 billion. The remaining N108.2 billion went to oil-producing states as derivation funds.

The communiqué noted that gross statutory revenue for April was N1.6 trillion, while VAT contributed over N500 billion.

FAAC attributed the strong revenue performance to improved oil prices, higher crude production, and better tax collection efficiency.

The committee urged subnational governments to channel their allocations towards capital projects and salary payments.
