Port Harcourt – The Christian community is in mourning following the passing of Pastor Nkechi Ene, the Presiding Pastor of The Carpenter’s Church, Port Harcourt. She died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, after a sudden health crisis upon returning from a ministry trip.
In an official church statement, Pastor Sola Akinwale described Pastor Ene as a “general of God” and a “mother-in-Israel” whose life was a testament to great faith and dedication to the gospel.
Bishop Professor Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies has extended heartfelt condolences, honoring Pastor Ene as her sister in Christ. “Pastor Nkechi Ene’s life was a shining testament to her unshakeable devotion to God,” Bishop Adesanya-Davies stated. “Her legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to inspire and guide us.”
The church has requested prayers for Pastor Ene’s husband, Bro. Emeka Ene, their four daughters, and the entire congregation, asking for comfort and strength during this period of loss.
