The Federal Government has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a 23-year-old Nigerian medical graduate, Miss Nnani Adaobi Marian, who reportedly died after sustaining injuries during a Russian aerial attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the development in a statement issued by its spokesperson, confirming that the deceased was a graduate of Kharkiv National Medical University.
According to the ministry, Miss Nnani succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.
The Federal Government extended its heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones, assuring them of its support during the difficult period.
The ministry also disclosed that it is working closely with Nigerian diplomatic missions in Ukraine and Germany to verify all relevant details surrounding the incident and provide the necessary consular assistance.
Reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens abroad, the government renewed its call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a peaceful resolution of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
