Police operatives in Osun State have rescued a kidnap victim and foiled a planned ransom exchange during a coordinated operation aimed at tackling kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the rescue followed credible intelligence received by security operatives, who swiftly mobilised to the location where the ransom was allegedly scheduled to be delivered. The operation reportedly disrupted the kidnappers’ plans, leading to the victim’s successful rescue.
According to the police, the victim was recovered unharmed and has since been reunited with family members. Security operatives also intensified efforts to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects involved in the abduction.
The Osun State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to combating kidnapping and other criminal activities, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements to security agencies.
