BENIN CITY, Edo State — The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has commenced an investigation into an Enugu Air incident that resulted in the temporary closure of the runway at Benin Airport.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the incident prompted aviation authorities to suspend runway operations to ensure the safety of passengers, crew members, and airport personnel while emergency procedures were carried out.
The NSIB said investigators have been deployed to determine the circumstances surrounding the occurrence and identify any factors that may have contributed to the incident. The agency noted that the probe is aimed at improving aviation safety and preventing similar occurrences in the future.
