A political support group backing Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu has called on young people in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State to prepare for the future through unity, planning and active participation in community development.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the campaign message described Ishionwu as a leader who values listening, learning and preparation, while urging young people to work together to build the Ikwuano they desire.
CDA News gathered from the statement that the campaign’s message is built around the “For Us, By Us” ideology, which it says seeks to encourage youth participation, collective responsibility and inclusive leadership.
The campaign organisation said the challenges facing Ikwuano can be transformed into opportunities when young people combine their energy, ideas and unity. It urged youths to take an active role in shaping the future rather than waiting for opportunities to be handed to them.
The statement also presented Ishionwu as a humble and determined leader who is committed to listening to the people and preparing for effective service.
The campaign further encouraged residents to believe that the Ikwuano of their dreams is achievable through collective effort and purposeful leadership.
