Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has declared that a return to character, truth, and responsibility in governance is the only path to healing Nigeria.
The Labour Party leader voiced his concerns in a social media post on Tuesday, focusing on the alarming infiltration of drug traffickers into the country’s courier and delivery services. Obi described this development as a “sad reminder” of the nation’s deep institutional decay.
He cited warnings from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), linking the problem to poor oversight and corruption. Obi emphasized that drug trafficking destroys families, fuels crime, and weakens the national conscience.
“Nigeria will only heal when character, truth, and responsibility return to governance,” Obi stated, reiterating his belief that a better nation is possible.
