WASHINGTON — The Trump administration has announced that it has deported more than three million undocumented immigrants and completed 15 consecutive months without releasing any illegal migrants into the United States .
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the administration made the claims in a fact sheet on the White House website on Wednesday, outlining measures it said were taken to restore the country’s immigration system . “President Trump has delivered on his promise to fix the immigration system, prioritize American citizens, and protect U.S. citizenship,” the White House said .
CDA News Nigeria reports that the administration stated that in his first week back in office, Trump signed an executive order declaring a crisis at the southern border and taking immediate action to end what it described as “record-shattering illegal immigration” under the previous administration . “For 15 straight months, no illegal aliens have been released into the country,” the statement said .
The administration further claimed it had launched a “denaturalization surge” targeting people who fraudulently obtained US citizenship, with claims filed against 88 people allegedly ineligible for citizenship . It also said it had terminated taxpayer-funded benefits for more than 1.4 million undocumented migrants improperly receiving public assistance and banned them from more than a dozen taxpayer-funded healthcare programmes .
On visa restrictions, the White House said it had “strengthened visa programs and their screenings and paused visa processing for 75 high-risk countries” . The administration also said it had moved to remove tens of thousands of undocumented migrants from voter rolls in multiple states and reformed the citizenship test to better assess applicants’ understanding of American history .
Additionally, the administration referenced two executive orders signed on August 6, 2026, aimed at ending birth tourism and clarifying categories of children not entitled to birthright citizenship following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Trump v. Barbara .
