Tinubu Meets Denmark’s Richest Man to Boost Investment Ties

ABUJA – President Bola Tinubu met with Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark’s wealthiest individual, at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday. The meeting is part of the administration’s ongoing drive to attract foreign investment and strengthen international economic partnerships.

Povlsen, the CEO of retail giant Bestseller and Chairman of the Bestseller Foundation, was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Hansen. The President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, were also present.

The engagement follows recent reports that President Tinubu’s international trips have secured proposed investment commitments worth $50.8 billion. The government is actively working to turn these commitments into tangible economic outcomes.

This high-level discussion is expected to open new avenues for trade and private-sector collaboration between Nigeria and Denmark.
