The entire women’s executive leadership of the four clans in Ikwuano, cutting across party lines, converged at the residence of Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma on Friday, September 25, 2026, in a powerful show of support for the APC senatorial candidate and other party candidates, including presidential flag bearer Bola Tinubu.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the women were led by their clan leaders, Mrs Chioma Ibelachi of Ibere Clan, Mrs Charity Enyinnaya of Oloko Clan, Mrs Ihuoma Ukpabi of Ariam Usaka Clan, Chief Mrs Chibuzo Akoma of Oboro Clan and Mrs Franciska Osuwa, who said their endorsement was driven by a collective desire for meaningful development across the Ikwuano clans.
After assessing the candidates in the senatorial contest, the women reached a unanimous conclusion to back Atuma, describing him as “tested and trusted,” while praising his years of service representing Ikwuano/Umuahia at the House of Representatives and his humility and respect for women.
The women vowed to mobilise their members across the clans and extend campaign efforts to other women’s groups across Abia Central local government areas to deliver victory for Atuma in the coming elections.
Responding, Atuma expressed appreciation for the women’s support, describing it as a bold declaration for a better Abia Central, and assured them that Ikwuano women would receive priority attention under his leadership, anchored on the fear of God.
The event was attended by Director-General of the Emeka Atuma Campaign Organisation, Hon. Chidi Nwosu, Dr Patrick Ikechi, Major Emmanuel Awa, and other campaign council members.
