Hon. Darlington Onyekacha Officially Declares for Ikwuano State House of Assembly Seat

Hon. Darlington Onyekacha has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ikwuano State House of Assembly seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration took place at the party’s Ikwuano Local Government Area secretariat, attracting party stakeholders, ward executives, and a large number of supporters from across the constituency.

The event was marked by enthusiastic cheers as the aspirant formally entered the race.

In his address, Onyekacha pledged to deliver inclusive and people-oriented representation if elected.

He emphasized his commitment to carrying along all segments of the society, including women, youths, and the elderly, stressing that leadership should reflect collective interests rather than personal ambition.

“I will not be a lone voice but a strong advocate for the collective aspirations of our people,” he stated.

Highlighting the need for fairness, Onyekacha made a strong case for political equity, noting that his Ibere clan is yet to produce a representative in the State Assembly.

He urged party delegates and stakeholders to consider zoning balance in their decision-making process.

“With all humility, I ask for the opportunity to fly the APC flag,” he appealed.

He further called on party members to unite behind his candidacy, promising grassroots development, accessible leadership, and effective representation.

Political observers believe his entry into the race introduces a fresh dynamic, particularly around the issue of clan rotation and equity within Ikwuano politics.
