CDA News Nigeria gathered that Atuma served as a former member of the House of Representatives, where he represented the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency. While in the Green Chamber, he was described as a vibrant, intelligent, and outspoken lawmaker who understood the art of legislation, oversight, and lobbying.
The campaign argues that given his rich legislative background, Atuma will hit the ground running from day one, knowing how the National Assembly works and how to attract federal presence to Abia Central.
Presenting him as a grassroots leader rather than an Abuja politician, the message said Atuma lives among his people, understands their pains, and shares in their struggles. From Ikwuano to Umuahia North, Umuahia South, Isiala Ngwa North and South, and Osisioma, his empowerment programmes, scholarships, and support for widows and youths are still talked about today.
Describing him as a bridge builder, the campaign said Abia Central needs a unifier at this critical time, adding that Atuma is respected by the old and loved by the young, with no bitterness or political vendetta.
“In a Senate dominated by loud voices without substance, Atuma will bring calm, intellect, and quality debate. Let us vote Hon. Emeka Atuma for a better Abia Central,” the message read.
