PDP Leaders Back Court Verdict, Seek Party Rebuilding

ABUJA – Key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, have endorsed a recent Federal High Court judgment concerning the party’s internal affairs. The group described the ruling as a crucial step toward restoring discipline and internal democracy.

In a communique read by Ikpeazu after a meeting in Abuja, the leaders commended the judiciary for “upholding truth over impunity.” The court affirmed that the PDP must follow its constitution and electoral guidelines, including proper signatures for official correspondence and validated party officials.

The judgment also nullified the appointment of an unauthorized official and upheld the expulsion of a member, reinforcing that expelled individuals cannot represent the party. The stakeholders pledged to abide by the ruling and invited all members to join efforts to rebuild the PDP, emphasizing values of truth and the rule of law.
