Sowore Accuses Tinubu Govt of Frustrating Campaign

The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of deliberately frustrating his 2027 campaign efforts.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that Sowore made this allegation while speaking to journalists shortly after his trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday. He described the constant court appearances as a calculated plot to stop him from campaigning.

According to the activist, the day-to-day court proceedings are intentionally designed to distract and frustrate him, thereby preventing him from speaking out against the government.

“They don’t want me to campaign, hence these relentless, day-to-day court proceedings which are deliberately designed to distract and frustrate me. But they will fail, as usual. No amount of intimidation or persecution will stop me,” Sowore said.

Despite the legal challenges, the AAC flagbearer insisted that no form of intimidation would deter him from fighting for the interests of Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

CDA News Nigeria reports that Sowore’s legal battles have become a recurring theme in his political journey, drawing reactions from civil society groups who have often condemned what they describe as the politicization of the judiciary.
