US Offers $20m for Iran Nuclear Intelligence

The United States is offering up to $20 million and possible relocation for information on Iran’s nuclear programme, the US military announced on Friday.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the offer comes under the State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme. US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a post on X that it covers Iran’s nuclear facilities, equipment and associated personnel, including those in the scientific community.

CENTCOM urged anyone with information to submit a tip through its website to claim the reward.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the announcement comes despite President Donald Trump’s repeated claims that Iran’s nuclear programme has been destroyed.

The US and Israel struck Iranian nuclear sites in June 2025, after which Trump said they were “completely and totally obliterated.” Later assessments found the programme had been degraded rather than fully eliminated.

The offer also follows concerns raised in 2025 by the International Atomic Energy Agency, which reported that Iran was enriching uranium to 60 per cent purity. That is a short technical step from the 90 per cent needed for a weapon.

On February 28, 2026, the US and Israel launched a larger campaign against Iran. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in its opening phase, and the conflict widened after Iranian retaliation. It disrupted shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and sent oil prices sharply lower.
