The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is not his friend.
Wike made this clarification during a television interview on Monday. He described Governor Makinde as a “political associate.”
The two politicians were previously allies in the G5 group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“There is no law that says political associates must remain together,” Wike added, dismissing the idea that their relationship was based on personal friendship.
He also denied that a fallout occurred due to any presidential ambition within the party.
