Bandits Kidnap 25 Kebbi Schoolgirls, Kill Principal In Overnight Attack

KEBBI – Armed bandits have abducted 25 students of Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) in Maga, Kebbi State, during an early morning raid that also claimed the life of the school principal.

The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, saw the bandits storm the school premises, overwhelming security and taking the students captive before security forces could respond.

Local sources confirmed that the school principal was killed during the invasion, adding to the tragedy that has left the community in mourning and parents in distress.

Security agencies have launched immediate search and rescue operations, with combined teams of police, military, and local vigilantes combing surrounding forests and remote areas where the bandits are believed to be hiding.

Kebbi State Government has confirmed the incident and reassured residents that all necessary resources are being deployed to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.

This latest attack represents one of the largest school abductions in recent months, raising renewed concerns about the safety of educational institutions in northern Nigeria.
