US Lawmakers Vote For Epstein Files Release After Trump U-Turn

WASHINGTON D.C. – The United States House of Representatives has voted overwhelmingly to release sealed documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, following a surprising reversal of position by former President Donald Trump.

The bipartisan vote on Wednesday saw 385 representatives in favor of disclosure, with only 28 against, reflecting broad congressional support for transparency in one of the most high-profile sex trafficking cases in recent history.

The dramatic shift came after Trump, who had previously expressed reservations about the document release, publicly announced his support for full disclosure, stating that “the public deserves complete transparency about this horrific case.”

The documents are expected to include thousands of pages of sealed court records, flight logs, depositions, and evidence detailing Epstein’s network of associates and the operation of his sex trafficking ring.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan hailed the vote as “a victory for justice and transparency,” while several victims’ advocacy groups celebrated the decision as a crucial step toward accountability.

The release, which could occur within weeks, is anticipated to reveal new information about Epstein’s connections with prominent figures in politics, business, and entertainment across multiple countries.
