FOUR JEWISH AMBULANCES DESTROYED IN LONDON

LONDON, UK – Four ambulances belonging to a Jewish volunteer emergency service were destroyed in a suspected arson attack in London, sparking widespread condemnation and a police investigation.

The vehicles, operated by Hatzolah—a Jewish emergency medical response organization—were set ablaze in the early hours of Monday at a parking facility in the Stamford Hill area, home to one of London’s largest Orthodox Jewish communities. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, but all four ambulances were declared total losses.

London’s Metropolitan Police have launched a hate crime investigation, treating the incident as a potential antisemitic attack. No injuries were reported, but community leaders described the destruction as a targeted act of intimidation.

“This was not just an attack on vehicles; it was an attack on a community that exists to save lives,” a Hatzolah spokesperson said.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions and a surge in antisemitic incidents across the UK in recent months. Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attack, stating that the government would not tolerate hatred targeting any community.

Police have appealed for witnesses and are reviewing CCTV footage as investigations continue. Community vigils are being planned in solidarity with the affected organization.
