Four Attack Helicopters to Arrive Soon, Community and State Police Will Become Reality

President Bola Tinubu has announced that four attack helicopters ordered from the United States will arrive in Nigeria soon to boost the fight against terrorism and insecurity.

Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Friday, Tinubu also stated that community and state police “will be a reality once the National Assembly completes the required legislative inputs.”

The President acknowledged that delays in acquiring military hardware were affecting public perception but assured that the government was actively seeking alternatives, including approaching Turkey for support.

Tinubu’s remarks come amid increased international security collaboration, following recent joint airstrikes by Nigerian and U.S. forces against ISIS targets in Sokoto State.

He reiterated the administration’s commitment to restoring peace despite the guerrilla tactics of bandits and insurgents.
