Abia Indigene Pen Calab Mocks Otti Over Geometric Power Outage

An Abia State indigene, **Pen Calab**, has criticised Governor Alex Otti over the reported prolonged electricity outage in Aba, questioning the administration’s earlier claims about improved power supply in the commercial city.

CDA News Nigeria reports that Calab made the comments in a social media commentary, where he said residents had experienced a prolonged blackout that he claimed had lasted about three weeks.

CDA News gathered from the commentary that Calab recalled previous claims by the Otti administration about improved electricity supply in Aba following developments involving Geometric Power. He said the government had received significant public praise for the reported improvement.

Calab argued that previous administrations also contributed to the development of the power project. He said recognition should therefore not be limited to the present administration.

The indigene further questioned the reported **Geometric Power outage in Aba**, saying residents were now waiting for electricity to return while there was little public discussion about the situation.

He also raised concerns over Aba’s reported status in relation to the national electricity grid, linking the issue to wider debates about the ownership and management of power projects in the state.

Calab described the situation as “how karma works,” using the phrase to criticise what he considers excessive political claims over the Geometric Power project.

However, the statements are the views of Pen Calab .

CDA News Nigeria will continue to monitor developments on electricity supply in Aba.
