Osogbo, Osun State — Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has accused unnamed politicians of attempting to sabotage the ongoing construction of a flyover project in the state and has directed security agencies to tighten security around the site.
CDA News Nigeria gathered from reports that Governor Adeleke issued the directive following alleged attempts to disrupt work on the infrastructure project. He said the government would not allow any individual or group to undermine developmental projects intended to benefit the people of Osun State.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing ongoing road and infrastructure projects, stressing that the flyover forms part of broader efforts to improve transportation, reduce traffic congestion, and boost economic activities in the state.
“We will not allow anyone to sabotage projects meant for the development of Osun State. Security around the site has been strengthened to ensure work continues without interruption,” Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying.
CDA News Nigeria reports that security agencies have been directed to increase surveillance and provide adequate protection for workers and equipment at the project site. The state government also urged residents to remain law-abiding and support ongoing development initiatives.
The flyover project is among several infrastructure programmes being executed by the Osun State Government to improve road networks and enhance public transportation across the state.
