Osogbo, Osun State — The campaign organisation of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has raised concerns over the deployment of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the campaign urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a transparent and credible electoral process by guaranteeing the proper deployment of BVAS and equitable distribution of PVCs to eligible voters across the state.
According to the campaign, confidence in the electoral process depends on the effective use of technology and timely access to voter cards. It called on INEC and relevant stakeholders to address any issues that could disenfranchise eligible voters before election day.
“We urge the electoral commission to ensure the proper deployment of BVAS and the seamless distribution of PVCs so that every eligible voter can freely exercise their constitutional right,” the campaign stated.
INEC has consistently maintained that it is committed to conducting free, fair and credible elections in line with the Electoral Act and its established guidelines. The commission is expected to continue voter education and election preparations ahead of the poll.
Political activities are expected to intensify as parties continue campaigns ahead of the Osun governorship election.
