PORT HARCOURT – Former presidential candidate Bishop Professor Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies has commended President Bola Tinubu for opting for dialogue in response to statements from former U.S. President Donald Trump concerning Nigeria’s affairs.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Adesanya-Davies described President Tinubu’s approach as a “wise, mature, and peace-driven decision.” She emphasized that diplomacy is the most effective tool for resolving international issues and safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty.
“This is not the time for fear or hostility,” she stated. “It is the time to prove that Nigeria is governed by wise, courageous, and peace-loving leaders who understand the value of dialogue in preventing conflict.”
The professor and cleric urged public support for the diplomatic initiative and called for prayers for a peaceful resolution, affirming that Nigeria must project confidence and pursue mutual respect in its foreign relations.
