The All Progressives Congress (APC) is facing fresh allegations of internal sabotage ahead of its national convention.
Umar Jijiwa, Director-General of the Youth Jagaban Network, has accused party organizers of deliberately withholding aspirant nomination forms to protect incumbents.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Jijiwa dismissed claims that forms were exhausted, insisting a different scheme played out.
“We paid, but you did not give us forms,” he said. “They are being kept for those already in power. It’s not that there is no room for other people. They anointed themselves.”
According to the youth advocate, the process was designed to favor the same team members seeking to retain their positions, shutting out external aspirants despite valid payments.
The allegations have sparked fresh concerns over internal democracy within the ruling party ahead of the high-stakes convention.
