Atiku Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plan to Exclude ADC from 2027 Elections

The Presidential candidate of ADC, Atiku Abubakar has alleged that there is a renewed plot to exclude the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from participating in the 2027 general elections.

Atiku raised the concern during a political engagement, claiming that certain forces were working behind the scenes to frustrate the party’s full participation in the electoral process. He described the alleged move as a threat to democratic fairness and political inclusiveness.

The allegation has sparked reactions within Nigeria’s political space, with supporters of the ADC calling for transparency and strict adherence to electoral laws by relevant authorities.

Political observers say the claim, if proven true, could further heighten tensions ahead of the 2027 elections, as parties intensify preparations and alignments across the country.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not issued an official response to the allegation at the time of filing this report.

Stakeholders have urged calm while calling on electoral bodies to ensure a level playing field for all registered political parties.
