Atuma Receives Defectors From Labour Party, ADC in Osisioma Ngwa Ward 1.

Supporters of the Labour Party (LP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have reportedly joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Umuonuma-Amavonkwuogu Ward 1, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area, as the APC candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Hon. Emeka Atuma, and his campaign team visited the ward.

CDA News Nigeria reports, based on the campaign’s account, that Chief Edwin Oduobi left the Labour Party with his supporters, while Chijioke Osundu left the ADC with his.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the defectors said they would no longer be used, citing a lack of visible progress after voting for Labour Party candidates. They also said they had seen the projects Atuma executed during his four years in the National Assembly. Those claims are independently verified.

Atuma commended the defectors and urged them to support APC candidates at every level, from President Bola Tinubu to the candidates for governor, the Senate, the House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly.

Campaign supporters described the move as a boost to the party’s mobilisation in the ward ahead of the 2027 elections.

Two hundred defectors from the Labour Party and the ADC were received at the campaign ground.
