The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Abia Central, Rep. Emeka Atuma, has continued his ward-to-ward campaign in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area. The tour has drawn endorsements from party stakeholders, traditional rulers and residents ahead of the 2027 general elections.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Atuma began the tour at Osuwa Ward 6, where he was received by Hon. Iheyinna Mgbeahuru, APC candidate for Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency. Also present were Hon. Udo Alozie, candidate for Osisioma/Ugwunagbo/Obingwa Federal Constituency, and the LGA APC Chairman, Hon. Amarachukwu Nwafor.
Mgbeahuru described Osisioma Ngwa as a strategic electoral stronghold in Abia Central and urged residents to back all APC candidates. At Ekeobasi Square, Atuma thanked the people and asked them to support APC candidates at every level, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the State House of Assembly.
Atuma also visited Chief K. O. Mgbeahuru, an elder statesman, who pledged his support. He urged his team to build lasting friendships that go beyond party lines.
At Okpula-Umugwo Ward 9, traditional rulers including HRH Sir G. O. Nwala and Eze Chigozie Court Iyi II endorsed his ambition. Atuma cited his human capital development record as representative of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2007. He promised road projects linking the community to neighbouring Rivers State.
At Umuonuma-Amavonkwuogu Ward 1, members of the Labour Party and African Democratic Party defected to the APC. The crowd presented Atuma with a cutlass, symbolising their wish to clear obstacles on his path to victory.
The tour is expected to continue across other communities in the LGA in the coming days.
