Bandits Abduct Teenage Boy, Six Girls from FCT Community

ABUJA – Armed bandits have abducted seven individuals, including a 16-year-old boy and six young women, from Gidan-Bijimi community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

The attack occurred around 9:47 PM on Wednesday when gunmen carrying AK-47 rifles invaded two houses in the border community near Kaduna State. According to local resident Suleiman Shuaibu, the bandits fired sporadically during the operation, creating chaos and forcing some residents to flee their homes.

The abducted girls are reported to be between 17 and 23 years old. Local vigilantes attempted to confront the attackers but were overwhelmed by the bandits’ superior firepower. Contact has yet to be established with the abductors, and security agencies are responding to the incident.
