UMUAHIA, ABIA STATE — A leading aspirant for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat, Barr. Randie Obinna Ukawoko, has taken his consultation drive to the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Umuahia North Local Government Area ahead of the 2027 general elections .
Upon arrival, the legal practitioner was formally introduced to the gathering by the Chairman of Umuahia North APC Stakeholders, Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka, who granted him the floor to address the party leadership and make his request known .
Ukawoko left no one in doubt about his mission, stating clearly that he was before the stakeholders to seek their support and prayers as he vies for the party’s ticket to represent the federal constituency at the Green Chamber .
The aspirant vowed to foster a robust partnership with the local government if entrusted with the mandate, outlining a comprehensive blueprint for legislative action .
Among the key pillars of his agenda, Ukawoko highlighted:
· Quality Representation: Ensuring the voice of the constituency is heard and respected at the national level.
· Legislative Reforms: Sponsoring bills to curb excessive oversight functions and promote accountability.
· Food Security: Establishing a constituency food bank to eradicate hunger and provide relief to vulnerable households.
· Youth Empowerment: Creating sustainable pathways for skills acquisition and employment.
· Women Development: Prioritising initiatives that uplift and economically empower women across the constituency.
Ukawoko assured the stakeholders that his tenure would mark a significant departure from past representations. “I will do better than those who have represented this federal constituency before. I urge you, our respected leaders, to see me as the most qualified and avoid the mistake of sending the wrong choice,” he appealed .
The consultation is part of a wider tour across the constituent local government areas as the race for the APC ticket gathers momentum ahead of the primaries .
