YENAGOA – A fresh political war has erupted within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, with chieftain Hon. Samuel Aredeh launching a scathing attack on former Deputy National Publicity Secretary Yekini Nabena, whom he labeled a “disposable microphone” and a “disgraced political errand boy.”
The verbal assault came in response to Nabena’s recent claims that the state chapter was headed for an implosion.
Aredeh, the party’s former vice chairman for Bayelsa West, categorically dismissed the allegations, stating the APC was instead “expanding and becoming stronger” under President Bola Tinubu.
He attributed Nabena’s comments to frustration and a bid for relevance, alleging the former spokesman is being used by certain leaders to wage a proxy war.
“He’s a forgotten figure trying to crawl back into relevance. For years, he allowed himself to be used like a disposable microphone,” Aredeh stated.
He suggested the real fear behind the criticism was the potential defection of Governor Douye Diri to the APC, a move he said would reshape the state’s politics.
